Wacky Bowl Projections

Every preseason some random dudes sit down and try to pick the bowl projections for the coming year. Every year those guys are wrong.

Its the hardest thing on earth to predict. Harder than the NCAA brackets. Harder than the Lotto. Harder than Keno. Harder than the movement of electrons.

Even as the season draws to a close, with only 3 weeks left, Its still nearly impossible to get these things right. So instead of predicting, I'm bringing you possibilities. Heres a list on the most intriguing bowl match-ups that maybe possibly might could reasonably happen. Broken down by team

Lets start with everyones favorite Juggernaut: Florida
Best Case: Sugar -- Worst: Outback
Most Likely: Capital One
Florida vs. Hawaii - Sugar Bowl
this one isn't likely (I think UH will lose) but it'd be the first of two game in a row between these two. UF opens next year with a home game vs. the Warriors
Florida vs. Illinois - Capital One Bowl
The Zooker gets a crack at his old school. This would suck for so many reasons, Losing would be the ultimate embarrassment, and winning gets you nothing. Fortunatly, I remember what a Ron Zook bowl game looks like - Gators would have no problem
Florida vs. Ohio State - Capital One
This is really just on OSU loss to Michigan on the road away from happening. I'm all for it, and not because I like beating OSU (but I do) - there is really no downside to this game. We lose so what, "can't beat us when it counts" - Win and its "Haha, we still own you" especially after we beat them in Basketball again this Christmas.

South Florida
Best Case: Gator -- Worst: Papa Johns
Most Likely: Meineke
USF vs. FSU - Meineke Car Care Bowl
Please let this happen. FSU officially worse than USF, what could be better? Please let this happen

FSU
Best Case: Gator -- Worst: Humanatarian
Most Likely: Meineke
-FSU vs. USF - Meineke Car Care Bowl
Please, Please, Please
-FSU vs. Penn St. - Champs Sports Bowl
The Elderly Coach Bowl resumes this year, only in a slightly less prestigious arena.

Miami
Best Case:Emerald -- Worst: None
Most Likely: None
With games vs. VaTech and BC remaining, Miami doesn't look to be going anywhere

Auburn
Best Case: Cotton -- Worst: Liberty
Most Likely: Cotton
Its one or the other - AU vs. UA -the winner gets the Cotton, the Loser gets shamed in the Liberty bowl
Auburn vs. UCF - Liberty
Auburn would complete the tour of florida with this lame matchup. Could Auburn lose to two Florida schools this year, and neither be UF?

UGA
Best Case: don't laugh - BCS championship -- Worst: Peach
Most Likely:Sugar
I've been preaching the two loss theory since mid season, and the beneficiary if it comes to fruition would be the dawgs. All it takes is a loss by Tennesee, Oregon, OSU, and W. Virginia. At that point the SEC and B-12 Championship Games become a defacto playoff. (More on this later)
But still not likely. Lose twice to UK and GaTech and its a home game in the Peach Bowl.

Other Interesting Possibilities:

Oklahoma vs. Oregon - BCS National Championship
A Repeat of last years game that was marred by poor officiating. Makes for Good Television.

Oklahoma vs. LSU - BCS National Championship
A three way virtual tie between LSU/OU/Oregon is decided by the BCS poll. Oregon is the big loser. The winner - Karma - Oregon pays the debt for the aforementioned screw job to OU.

Michigan vs. Oregon - Rose Bowl
If Michigan beats Ohio State and Oregon is the odd duck out of the big game, The pompous Rose Bowl would be contractually obligated to bring you the worst Bowl Game of the year. A rematch of a blowout (a home blowout at that). If Michigan wins, its either this or
USC vs. Michigan - Rose Bowl
a rematch of last years terrible Rose bowl. Suck it Rose Bowl guys! Go Michigan!
