OREGON GOES DOWN
-yes I stayed up to watch it. It was fantastic. Dixon injured early, changed the game. Cason scores two non offensive touchdowns. How big was that non-fumble replay review, How big were the other turnovers? Mike Stoops upsets another one late in the season. The Students rush the field before the game ended! How college is that? Best Post Game Celebration all year.
Go Wildcats (that'll be a recurring theme)
Tebow, the door is open.
Also, How's the "Two Loss Theory" look now?
UF vs. FAU 12:00
Is it FAU or FIU? Thats the question I've been asking all year - This week I have an answer. Surprisingly- it does matter. FAU is a .500 team on par with Troy with a legend for a head coach, FIU is apparently a high school team that wandered into the wrong stadium. Good luck getting anyone to care though. Last night I picked up the phone at 9:30, three and half hours after unclaimed student tickets went on sale, got right through and the voice on the other end almost begged me to buy more than the two tickets I wanted.
Watch for: Tebow to jump to the Heisman lead with 5 TDs... in the first half. (Did you hear Dixon is hurt?) Still no Percy, and bring on Cam Newton.
Gators in a SteamRoll
7Ohio State vs. 21Michigan 12:30 ABC
THE GAME OF THE CENTURY!!! haha, can you believe they called it that last year? This game isn't much more important than then. just Two teams fighting for the Big Ten championship, just before they get their teeth kicked in at the bowl game.
Watch For: Lloyd Carr to give his first and last emotional pregame speech and lead the Wolverines in an inspired upset at the Big House. Why? Its his last game, he's retiring.(anyone care? No? Ok... Later Lloyd, take it easy)
Michigan with gusto
23Kentucky vs. 9Georgia 12:30 LF
This one will keep the Gator crowd scoreboard watching for most of the game. Hopefully we can take off after the end of the third to watch Kentucky do us a favor.
Watch for: Kentucky to take a lead into the fourth, just as ninety thousand fans in Gainesville tune in and tip the karmic scales against themselves as UGA rallies for the W
Georgia struggles but prevails
1LSU vs. Mississippi CBS 3:30
Tigers travel to Oxford. Takin on the Rebels. Old school SEC. Miles is the coach.... I can't come up with anything interesting
Watch For: CBS's worst ratings of the fall
LSU bangs em down
Vandy vs. 20Tennessee 2:00
The Vols have control of their own destiny. What that really means is they have a lot of pressure to win. They may win, but it'll be ugly. Good thing this one aint on TV
Watch for: that pressure to catch up with them.... Next Week
Tennessee by a redneck ringer (thats three points to the horseshoe novice)
Big Twelve PuPu platter:
Iowa St. vs. Kansas 3:30
Missouri vs. Kansas St. 12:30
Oklahoma vs. Texas Tech 8:00 ABC
None of us like any of these teams. None of us watch their games. No one really cares.
Well too bad. There's three of em. they have easy games this week. They have they're own defacto playoff already set up. Barring a miracle, one of these three is playing for (and likely losing) the National Championship. So get used to it. I still say Oklahoma will ease into the big game.
Watch for: ?? you wont watch any of these
ESPN late night doubleheader:
West Virginia vs. Cincinnati 7:45 ESPN
Boston College vs. Clemson 7:45 ESPN2
On one channel you have W. Virginia's best chance to join the ranks of the two loss teams, and on the other, you have Tommy Bowden trying not to collapse at the end of the year again. Can two teams from cold miserable cities pull off the late night fireworks? I say yes
Watch For: Matt Ryan and BC to pass all over an out-coached Tiger secondary. Pat White and UWV to play hot potato with the Cincy D. I smell Turnovers, and the mountaineers are cooking. (I'll have an apple one, thanks)
State of Florida PuPu Platter
Maryland vs. FSU 12:00 channel4?
Miami vs. 10VaTech ABC 3:30
Why are both these games on TV? and what is UPN doing broadcasting college football? If anyone is interested in what a car wreck looks like in slow motion, tune in. I wonder if VaTech will even break a sweat?
Watch For: Napoleon Dynamite to lead the turtles to a road win. And Kyle Write to throw three TD passes... to VaTech Defenders.
-Also, Hawaii is losing tonite. Chalk it up. Brennan can't rebound from that hit in six days. No way.
