This weekend was circled on the calendar long ago. For most of the country the circle was for the potential semi-final for the national championship game. Thats right, two months ago two of these games were supposed to be two of the biggest this year. That circle has long since been erased. Try and pick them out now, go ahead, I'll wait.... .... Ok, did you get em right? Lots changed I know, only one of those four team still has a shot. However, this weekend was circled by myself for a much different reason, A reason that no amount of losses would erase. Its time for the worst game on the UF schedule. Prepare the Bomb shelter: Drinks, check; Food, check; big screen, check; stack of cheap ceramic dinnerware that make a fantastic noise when smashed, check; cyanide, check -
For Non-Gator fans, if there are any out there, Its still a healthy dose of quality college football -
Louisville @ 7West Virginia - Thursday 7:30
The Thursday matchup we've been waiting for all year... wait what happened to Louisville? really... to Syracuse?... and Utah? How many points? Ok... Ok. Well maybe we should save some time and get the record books out early. I'll start the fire, you just hand those books to Mr. Slaton and Mr. White. Go ahead guys toss em in.
Illinois @ 1 OSU 3:30
Think the Zooker has a shot? I want to. I want think anyone does against OSU. But what would this story be like without a villain. OSU cruises at home again. Bring on Michigan and after that a hearty beat down to end it for the Bucks. Looks like the best argument for making your schedule tough is so you don't suffer through this.
LSU/OU vs. Cupcake
Oooooh delicious cupcakes
4Kansas @ Okie St.
Speaking of Cupcakes - Mangino hungry
FSU @ 11VaTech 3:30 ABC
Back to reality for the Noles. This atmosphere made Matt Ryan look like a chump for 57 minutes. I expect Weatherford to go the full 60
USC vs. Cal 8:00 ABC
Remember about a month ago when this was gonna be "Game of the Year"
The SEC lineup -
Here where my saturday starts and ends. Three games, each with championship implications for the Gators, in perfect succession, each more important than the one before. Don't bother me, for your own safety, don't bother me.
Arkansas vs. Tennessee 12:30 LF
Tennessee's porous D gets a taste of the best player in the country, or more likely, the game will end and the D will have no idea what McFadden taste like or even looks like up close. With UF awaiting losses by both Tennessee and UGA, Run DMC Run
18Auburn vs. 10UGA 3:30 CBS
Logically, of the three outcomes I need to happen, I'm least confident in this one. Auburn has let me down before, and they'll let me down again. Lets hope its not on Saturday, Come on Auburn, you Owe us one.
UF vs. South Carolina 7:45 ESPN
I won't even waste your time with any analysis. Despite rhetoric to the contrary, this game is still about a Team vs. their old coach. If you want reasoning that we haven't put this Spurrier thing behind us, think about this, If USC wins- how would you describe it? What would be the headline in the paper? Thats right - It'd Read "Spurrier beats Gators". It is THE story, It will be THE story, there is no getting around it. He's the greatest thing we've ever had, and now hes on the other sideline. Like watching your smokin hot ex girlfriend on the arm of another guy, even if you've got another younger prettier woman, and She's dating a no talent loser with their collar popped, It still makes you uncomfortable. Now the four of you have to go on a double date to some sleazy bar and your ex challenges your new girlfriend to a match in the jello wrestling pit.... Except its not sexy at all.
It sucks

Dude that Florida-OSU clip is hilarious! Also a very good analogy for the Florida-Spurrier game.
