What a slate of games we have on hand. This makes rivalry week look like mid October by comparison, if you know what I mean. For those of you who don't know what I mean, I've rated the games with Corso heads - 1 through 5, with 4 being a can't miss game, and 5 being a game you'd skip your own wedding for.
Troy vs. UF - 6:00 Game two of the Tim Tebow Experience looks to be another dud. However, upon closer review this Troy team is no slouch. They return all their weapons on Offense and 8 starters on D. The took FSU into the 4th quarter last year, Won the Sun Belt, Blew out Rice in the Bowl game and .... Seriously, I can't even convince myself. They may be the Sun Belt champs this year but they're still just the Sun Belt champs. Too many good games this week to stick around past halftime - Hope its in the bag by then (please don't pull a Mich.)
Nebraska vs. Wake Forest - 12:00 - This game will be an indication of whether or not Nebraska is ready for USC next week. My guess is they aren't, but they're still better than the defending ACC champs.(thats still funny to me).
Miami vs. Oklahoma - 12:00 - Time to see where Miami stands. As much as I'd like to see them sink into mediocrity, I don't think they will. This game will show how far Randy Shannon has taken his team. He's been to Norman before, in 85' , as a player, when the Canes upset the Sooners. I doubt he can recreate history though, These Sooner looked really good last Saturday. But this one is low scoring and close.
Michigan vs. Oregon - 3:30 - The Wolverines look to rebound against a solid Duck team. It's pretty much do or die for Lloyd Carr. "Do" win and fans will still hate you, don't win and I'll "Die" of laughter.
S. Carolina vs. Georgia - 5:45 - Until last weeks results this game was near the top of my list. the Cocks looked bad, and UGA had both sides of the ball goin' - Although the Ole' Ball coach made a point of always beating UGA so don't count him out. Steve doesn't like people tellin' him he can't do things, Just Ask Corso. in fact, Mitchel is back this week and that quality play from Stafford was probably and aberration. Cocks by a TD,
and Add a Corso head to that rating.
Notre Dame vs. Penn St. - 6:00 - Not gonna be a good game. Too bad for PSU fans ticket prices don't reflect that. Only watchable thing will be waiting to see when Baby Clausen gets injured. When he does, I'll be cheering like these fans at the demise of Michigan.
TCU vs. Texas - 7:00 - Upset Special - The longhorns looked bad last week and the horned Frogs have a knack for knocking off highly ranked opponents. This one may be for bragging rights in the state of Texas (sorry A&M)
USF vs. Auburn - 9:00 - This game has been circled on the calendar for a long time. It is widely regarded as fact that the Auburn Tigers annually pick an early season game, cover it with fresh linens, fluff it up, pull the covers over it and take a nap on it. In 02' and 03' it was USC, in 03' and 05' it was GaTech, and last year the Tigers stayed out late drinkin' and around mid-season passed out on top of the Razorbacks. Months ago this game was circled as the first pop quiz of the semester that the Tigers would sleep through. Unfortunately for USF, the Tigers didn't even show up on time the first day of class. Presumably, this, paired with the Michigan debacle, will put the fear of God in the Tigers. So no lucky breaks for Grothe and the Bulls, you'll have to prove yourself mano e mano. But I'm just crazy enough to think the Bulls can win straight up. USF in a close one.
VaTech vs. LSU - 9:20 - Game of the Week - First team to 10 points wins. D will be the theme, and D will be very few points to go around. D Tigers look like D more complete team, have D home field advantage, and have more D-eep threats on D offense. D Hokies are D best team in D land at getting turnovers, and have D special team edge. Here's hoping D cheers of an entire nation can lift D Hokies to D Victory, cause D schedule only gets easier from Here. DNoticeably absent from these game is FSU. Thats because they suck and are unwatchable, here's something infinitely more watchable than FSU football, yet somehow the two smell the exact same.
See yall in G-ville this weekend. We'll be back under the Oaks at Norman. This time with satellite TV (fingers crossed).
Heres your daily dose of YouTube - Lets all thank God we aren't K-State fans
We'll be back Monday with the "Fallout" and tell your friends, I don't want to write this stuff for nothing... but I will, just don't make me.

Man you nailed the UGA, South Carolina game and the USF, Auburn game predictions
Yes, awesome, first comment - JT my new #1 fan. And for those reading, you could be fan #2, just post something, anything... please
Yes I was right, but I also thought VaTech could win, and TCU. When you predict a bunch of upsets your bound to be right about some of them.
